I came to yoga at a young age to help cope with the symptoms of a mental illness. I found that practicing yoga had and continues to have a profound effect on my mental wellbeing,
Whilst gaining a BSc Psychology in South Wales, I decided that actually teaching yoga to those who needed it the most was what I wanted to do. I completed my training in 2013, and continued on to further training with the British Wheel of Yoga in London with Wendy Haring and Elaine Fletcher. Making me a 500hr registered yoga teacher with the British Wheel of yoga.
Until recently I have been teaching in the South Wales Valleys, working alongside Communities First to help provide free classes to groups such as Mental health Matters Wales, Special Families and Chair yoga for those with limited mobility. I also run group classes and one to one sessions.
Having recently moved to the Petersfield area in Hampshire I am keen to get yoga classes up and running and help to make yoga as accessible to everyone as I can.
I teach Hatha Yoga which involves combining breathing practices and physical postures to help create space within the body. This in turn helps aid relaxation and an easeful space for meditation.
If you are interested in attending any of my classes or have any questions please feel free to contact me.
I am currently looking for venues to run a free yoga class if this is comething that you are able to help with please contact me directly. This making me a 500 Hr Registered yoga teacher with the British Wheel of yoga.
